pro.perty.ID is operated by Perty.ID Corp, a Delaware corporation (“we,” “us,” or “our”). pro.perty.ID is a registry: you record gear you own, and we keep that record safe, dated, and yours. This policy says what we collect, why, and what control you have. The short version: we collect what the registry needs to work, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your content to train AI.
What we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash; the iPhone app never sees or stores your password).
- Your gear records — the items, kits, photos, serial numbers, descriptions, and inventory documents you create. This is your content; you control it.
- Signed documents — when you sign an inventory, we store the sealed PDF and its audit trail (signer, timestamp, IP address). The audit trail is what makes the signature verifiable.
- Technical basics — IP address, device/browser type, and app version, used for security (rate limiting, abuse prevention) and to make the service work.
- Usage signals in the app — which screens and features you use, so we can improve the product. Not sold, not shared for advertising.
What we use it for
To operate the registry: keeping your records, generating your inventories, sealing signed documents, securing your account, and providing support. That’s it.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal data.
- We never use your records, photos, or documents to train AI models.
- We never share your data with advertisers.
- We show no third-party ads.
Sharing you control
Some records can be shared because you choose to — for example, providing a signed inventory to your insurer, or transferring gear to another member with a documented handoff. Sharing is always initiated by you.
Service providers we use
A small set of infrastructure providers process data on our behalf, under their own security obligations: cloud storage for photos and documents (Backblaze), network security and delivery (Cloudflare), and transactional email (Brevo). Document signing runs on our own servers, not a third-party signing service. These providers handle data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Your records exist as long as your account does. Nightly encrypted backups are kept under a fixed retention window, after which they expire automatically. If you delete your account, see below — and the full detail at pro.perty.id/delete-account.
Your rights and controls
- Export — you can export your records at any time from your book’s Settings page (“Export my records”). Your data is portable.
- Correction — you can edit your account details and records directly.
- Deletion — you can delete your account from the iPhone app (Settings → Delete Account) or on the web at pro.perty.id/delete-account. We process deletions promptly. One honest caveat: a signed document you’ve already provided to someone else (like an insurer) exists in their hands too — deletion removes our copy and your account, but can’t reach copies you’ve shared.
- Depending on where you live (EU/GDPR, California/CCPA, and similar), you may have additional legal rights to access, correct, or erase your data. Email us and we’ll honor them.
Children
pro.perty.ID is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and note material changes in the app or by email.
